JAIL OPEN ALL YEAR
(Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day)


April to October: 9.30am – 6.00pm
November to March: 10.00am – 5.00pm

Last admission one hour before closing.

DISABLED ACCESS
Due to the historic nature of the buildings and the number of steps involved, disabled access can be limited.  Wheelchair users are admitted free of charge and are welcome to visit all the ground floor areas.

SPECIAL RATES

Did You Know?
In Inveraray Jail most male prisoners made herring nets or picked oakum. Some with special skills were employed at shoemaking, tailoring or joinery work. Female prisoners picked oakum, knitted stockings or sewed.
